International Applicants

All applicants for admission as an international student must submit:

1. A completed application.

2. Official transcripts from all post-secondary schools must be received. For institutions outside of the US, a transcript evaluation from a credential evaluation company is required. NGU accepts transcript evaluations from World Education Services, Josef Silny and Associates, Educational Credential Evaluators, or Spantran.

3. English proficiency is required unless you are a citizen and completed secondary school from one of the countries on our exempt list. Otherwise, it must be proven by meeting one of the required SAT, TOEFL, IELTS, Duolingo, or ACT scores. Official score reports must be sent directly to NGU.

Transfer Students: Students transferring 60 credits or more from another institution within the US are exempt from providing English proficiency.

Minimum scores accepted:

SAT: Evidence Based Reading Writing Sub score of 500

TOEFL: Internet Based 75 - Only scores from tests completed within the two years prior to the date of application will be accepted.

IELTS: 6.5 minimum on any section

Duolingo: Minimum score of 100

ACT: English Sub score of 22

4. Proof of financial support is required before North Greenville University can issue the I-20. All international students must show proof in writing, along with certified documents, that they have financial support before enrolling at the University.
