Readmission
NGU Online students who would like to return to the University after an official/unofficial withdrawal or after two consecutive of non-attendance must reapply with the Admissions Office. Students who have been suspended, because of academic or disciplinary reasons, may reapply for admission only after the time of suspension is completed. Reapplying does not guarantee automatic readmission back into the University. Students seeking readmission will be reviewed in these areas: academic, student life, Title IX, financial aid, and students accounts.
Students who have attended other institutions during their absence must submit official transcripts of all work completed. All transcripts must be sent directly to the Admissions Office from the Registrar of the college or university attended. Further, students who discontinue their enrollment for one year or more will be under the catalog requirements in effect at readmission.
The account balances for all readmitted students must be in good status as a condition for readmission.
If readmision is granted, students may be asked to meet guidelines and expectations put in place by the Admissions Review Committee upon re-entry as a student.
Readmission After Academic Probation
Students who have withdrawn from the University with an academic probation status may reapply for admission. Students who have been granted readmission will remain on academic probation and their academic standing will be reviewed at the end of the semester.
Readmission After Academic Suspension
Students placed on academic suspension may reapply for admission after the time of suspension has ended. Students will be placed on academic probation and their academic standing will be reviewed at the end of the semester. The changing of academic majors or programs does not have any impact on a student's suspension period.
Service Member Readmission
North Greenville University will promptly readmit service members who seek readmission to a program that was interrupted due to a uniformed service member obligation in accordance with the federal regulations and the Department of Defense (DoD) Voluntary Education Partnership Memorandum of Understanding (MOU).
Students are eligible for readmission under this policy if the student performs uniformed service (voluntary or involuntary) in the Armed Forces during the absence. The policy includes students serving in the National Guard or Reserve operations. The cumulative length of all absences for uniformed service must not exceed five years.
Students must provide documentation of a Uniformed Service Obligation, such as a Temporary Duty (TDY) to the Registrar’s Office or designeeVA Point of Contact. Students are encouraged to provide documentation as far in advance if possible.
When a student is readmitted to the same academic program, tuition and fees charges will be assessed for the academic year during which the student left.
A returning student can be readmitted into the same academic program the student was enrolled in prior to the military service obligation. If the desired program is no longer available, the student will be admitted to the program that is similar, or a program selected by the student. Readmitted students will be classified with the same enrollment status, number of completed credits, and academic standing as the academic term of attendance.
