Transfer Applicants

All applicants for admission as transfer students must submit:

1. A completed application for admission.

2. A $35 application fee. This is a non-refundable fee.

3. Official transcripts from all institutions previously attended. Request that official transcripts from each institution that you have attended be sent directly to the North Greenville University Office of Admissions. You must have 12 transferable semester hours in order to be considered for transfer admission. Any transfer applicant with fewer than 12 transferable hours must meet freshman admission requirements. A final official high school transcript including the date of graduation and a signature of an approved school official is required for all transfer applicants.

4. Application Approval—Once above information is received, the Admissions Office will review material and decide if applicant will be admitted. Qualified applicants will be notified of admission with contingency upon the following:

a. Admission Criteria is met: 

  • 2.0 Collegiate GPA with at least 12 transferrable credit hours 
  • OR 2.0 Collegiate GPA plus 3.0 High School GPA if less than 12 transferrable credit hours
  • OR 1.8-1.99 Collegiate GPA, plus supporting documents reviewed and accepted by the Director for Admissions
  • OR admission granted by the Admissions Review Committee

b. Enrollment deposit—Applicants who have been accepted must submit their $200 enrollment deposit to reserve their place in class. Should the applicant choose not to attend NGU, the enrollment deposit is refundable if requested in writing before May 1 for the fall semester or November 1 for the spring semester.

c. Residential Services Questionnaire and Agreement—All students desiring to live on campus must submit a residential services questionnaire and agreement with their enrollment deposit. Until the enrollment deposit and agreement are received, no housing assignment can be made. Submission of the enrollment deposit and a completed residential services questionnaire and agreement before May 1 guarantees a room in the residence hall.
