North Greenville University offers a comprehensive financial aid program that includes federal, state and institutional sources of aid. We understand that financing higher education is a major concern for students and parents and the Financial Aid Office at North Greenville University is available to assist families in completing the necessary steps to apply for aid.
The following forms of assistance are offered by North Greenville University: scholarships and grants, loans, and part-time employment through the work-study program. Students wishing to apply for these forms of assistance must complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) each academic year. Financial assistance is awarded on a first come, first served basis and students are encouraged to complete and submit all required forms as early as possible prior to each academic year. The Financial Aid Office will use the student’s North Greenville University email address as the official form of communication regarding deadlines, awards, adjustments, and notifications. Additionally, students may access their personal financial aid portal by visiting the NGU Financial Aid Portal.
Non-applied Coursework
To be eligible for Title IV (federal) funds at North Greenville University, a student must be enrolled in a program with the purpose of obtaining a degree. Federal aid cannot be used to pay for a course(s) which does not count toward the student’s degree.
How to Apply for Financial Aid
1. Complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) online. The FAFSA should be completed by the priority date of March 15th prior to the start of the fall semester. The FAFSA must be completed each academic year.
2. Include North Greenville University with our federal code of 003441.
3. Submit all required documentation as requested by the Financial Aid Office in a timely manner to avoid delays in awarding aid. Check your personal financial aid portal often for updates by visiting the NGU Financial Aid Portal.
Student Eligibility and Method of Distribution of Student Aid
At North Greenville University, student aid is generally awarded based on financial need. Simply defined, financial need is the difference between the student’s cost of attendance (tuition, fees,food and housing, and books) and the amount the student and family are expected to contribute toward meeting those costs. To determine eligibility for financial aid, the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) is required.

3. All financial aid award amounts are subject to change without notice and are dependent on funding levels and student eligibility criteria. Receiving a funding type one year does not guarantee that a student will receive it in subsequent years.
