BIOL-4480 Molecular Biology

An in depth analysis of the methods used to study the structure and function of DNA, RNA and genes. Emphasis will be placed on how modern techniques in molecular biology are used to study the regulation of gene expression and to develop new ways to diagnose and treat disease. The laboratory is designed to allow students to investigate how the structure of a gene is related to its function using recombinant DNA techniques. Lab fee required.
