BUSN-1340 World of Business

A foundations course that emphasizes decision making in an ever-changing world economy. Provides an overview of the nature and purpose of business from a biblical worldview, from which students will learn how business and entrepreneurship can create value that leads to human flourishing. The focus is on building a foundation for key success factors and life skills, including professionalism, communications, global and cultural awareness, team-based decision making, critical thinking, and business language. Some emphasis is placed on career guidance, including an appreciation for the functional areas of business. The course is likely to include strong experiential business elements. Course may be taken by students who have earned less than 12 credit hours of Business coursework - a course substitution will be required in other cases.
