CSCI-4340 Administering An Sql Database
This course is designed to introduce the student to the functionality provided by a database administrator (DBA) to an organization. The student will install databases and database management systems (DBMS) on a variety of operating systems. DBMS topics covered will include database definitions, user/login security and permissions, backups and recovery, and other DBMS features available to the DBA. These topics will be discussed from a DBMS application point of view as well as Structured Query Language (SQL) basis.
