EDUC-2300 Foundations of Reading

Required for all Education Majors This course is an examination of the theoretical and evidenced based foundations of literacy development and instruction from birth to grade three. Emphasis is placed on understanding the acquisition of and the interrelationship between literacy, language, instructional practices, and environments that support expressive and reception language development. This course is required as part of the SC Read to Succeed Legislation for endorsement.
