ENGL-3395 Great Books

A survey of groundbreaking texts in various genres from ancient to contemporary, examining structure and thematic content as well as historical impact. Offered as a seminar class, ENGL-3395 employs an interdisciplinary, intercultural, and topical approach to study of the classics. Through integrative reading and research projects, students will view great literature holistically, and will develop a framework for determining a text's place in the context of cultural literacy.
