PHYS-2410 Physics With Calculus I

A study of general physics including applications of the calculus. Topics include measurement and units, vectors, kinematics, Newton's laws of motion, work and energy, systems of particles, collisions, rotational kinematics, torque and angular momentum, rigid body statics and dynamics, simple harmonic motion, gravitation, elasticity of solids, fluid statics, heat and temperature, and special relativity. The associated laboratory enhances the student's ability to develop experimental procedures, conduct laboratory experiments, record observations, conduct mathematical analyses of results, and reach conclusions. Lab fee required.
