Doctor of Education (EdD)

Overview

The mission of the Doctor of Education (EdD) Program at North Greenville University is to prepare transformational leaders by providing rigorous, research-based education and practical leadership training to equip professionals serving in PK-12 schools, higher education institutions, and educational ministries. By earning this terminal degree and completing their dissertation, EdD graduates will be able to effect positive change in the field of education for the glory of God and the service of others. The program of study for the EdD includes core courses and concentration-specific courses. A total of 57-60 credits are required for graduation, depending on the concentration. There are three options for concentration: PK-12 Education Leadership, Higher Education Leadership, and Educational Ministry Leadership. The coursework for the EdD is organized into five categories: Leadership Foundations, Leadership Competencies, Leadership Contexts (Concentration-Specific), Research Methods, and Dissertation Research.
