Education Specialist (EdS)
Overview
The mission of the Education Specialist (EdS) Program at North Greenville University is to prepare transformational leaders in education by providing rigorous, research-based education and practical leadership training to professionals serving in PK-12 schools, higher education institutions, and educational ministries. By earning this post-masters degree, EdS graduates will be prepared for further doctoral studies and able to effect positive change in the field of education for the glory of God and the services of others. The program of study for the EdS includes core courses and concentration-specific courses. A total of 36-39 credits are required for graduation, depending on the concentration. There are three options for concentration: PK-12 Education Leadership, Higher Education Leadership, and Educational Ministry Leadership. The coursework for the EdS is organized into three categories: Leadership Foundations, Leadership Competencies, and Leadership Contexts (Concentration-Specific).
