CSCI-3335 Database Design and Management

This course introduces the student to the fundamentals of database application design using a relational Database Management System. Topics include user requirements determination, data modeling and the design of a database including tables, queries, forms and reports. Design techniques in the use of Field Properties and Custom Input Forms are emphasized to ensure the integrity of the database contents. The course is taught using a combination of lectures and computer lab exercises concluding with the design and development of a functional database by each student.
