DPAM-5140 Introduction to Pharmacology

Prerequisites: Admission into the DPAM program. This introductory course explores medication delivery, its impact on the body, and how it is eliminated. Topics include mechanism of action, pharmacokinetics, drug targets, pharmaceutical math, drug toxicity and drug interactions. In addition, this course promotes a link between microbiology, disease processes and medication use.
