DPAM-5230 Physical Diagnosis I

Prerequisites: Successful completion of prior DPAM course work. This is the first course in a three-part series, which runs concurrent with the ‘Medical Practice’ and ‘Pharmacology.’ Emphasis is placed on appropriate history taking, physical examination techniques, patient counseling (to include education), and how to the document an encounter. In addition, verbal and written communication, cultural sensitivity, and professionalism are developed. Physical diagnosis is covered using platform instruction and small group problem-based learning exercises.
