BIOL-3370 Metabolism and Its Diseases
The course will focus on normal metabolism and its diseases caused by metabolic imbalances. Examples will include diseases that result from unbalanced diets and genetic disorders leading to loss of or decreased enzyme activities. The discussion will focus on the molecular and cellular levels with emphasis on the use of nutrients to build the macromolecules in the cells, and regulate the function of enzymes.
