CHST-1201 Interpreting the Biblical Text
This course introduces students to effective strategies for the study of Scripture that emphasize reading, interpreting, and applying biblical texts well in contemporary life. The basis of the course is a hands-on engagement with selected biblical passages in their historical, cultural, and literary contexts to discover the author's intended meaning for an ancient audience and to apply it in a contemporary setting.
