PSYC-2385 Adolescent Psychology

This course will cover historical perspectives and current theories and development in adolescence. Topics under physical development will include puberty, the effects of hormones and physical growth on thinking and relationships, mental disorders, and sexuality. Topics under cognitive development will address intelligence, social learning, and moral development. Social development topics will include the differential influence of parents (families) and peers, self-image, and joining the work force.
