Academic Scholarships
Kalos Scholarship
This scholarship will cover up to the full cost of tuition, standard housing (the cost for premium and single housing is not covered), food, books/materials (through NGU's Slingshot book service), and required fees. The scholarship will be comprised of federal, state, and institutional aid. Incoming students who major in the humanities, more specifically English, foreign languages, literature, history, political science, philosophy, theology/religion, ministry, or music, will be prioritized. Other areas of study are subject to approval. Priority is also given to students whose intention is to enroll in a graduate degree program.
The scholarship does not cover lab fees, music lesson fees, add/drop fees, student fines, parking permit, and other fess that may vary, including any credit hour overload fees (beyond what is permitted for Honors students). The scholarship will cover only the standard rental fee through NGU's Slingshot book service. If the student requests a print option or decides to purchase books, or fails to return rental books at the end of the semester, those additional costs will be covered at the students expense.
The scholarship covers only the students first bachelor's degree. Graduate level courses taken as part of a combination degree will not be covered by this scholarship. This scholarship may be used for summer school.
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- 3.75 unweighted High School GPA and 1320 SAT or 28 ACT or 88 CLT
- Attend NGU Scholars Weekend
- A completed application must be submitted by the deadline indicated on the University website to be considered
Renewal Requirements:
- Must maintain fulltime status each semester;
- Meet commitments related to the Honors Program at NGU;
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA;
- Submit the FAFSA annually;
- SC Residents: The FAFSA must be submitted by August 1 each year to continue receiving the S.C. Tuition Grant. Failure to submit the FAFSA by this deadline may result in the loss of the S.C. Tuition Grant. The scholarship will not cover any amount of state grant assistance that was lost due to late submission of the FAFSA.
- Develop a professional portfolio; and
- Engage university publics and with the visionaries responsible for the program.
The scholarship is renewable for up to 8 consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment. Full-time enrollment is defined as 12 credit hours or more each semester.

NGU Fellows Scholarship
Incoming South Carolina residents who meet the requirements for the SC Palmetto Fellows Scholarship will be considered for NGU’s Fellows Scholarship.
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- Attend NGU Scholars Weekend
- Eligible candidates must be identified by the South Carolina Commission on Higher Education (CHE) as SC Palmetto Fellows recipient by the application deadline
- A completed application must be submitted by the deadline indicated on the University website to be considered
This scholarship will cover up to the full cost of tuition, standard housing (the cost for premium and single housing is not covered), and food. The scholarship will be comprised of federal, state, and institutional aid. The cost of books and fees will be the responsibility of the recipient. If the student receives work study or other private scholarships these awards may be used to cover additional fees.
Renewal Requirements:
- Must maintain fulltime status each semester;
- Meet commitments related to Honors at NGU;
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative GPA; and
- Submit the FAFSA annually
Scholarship is renewable for up to 8 consecutive semesters and is contingent on maintaining eligibility for Palmetto Fellows. Full-time enrollment is defined as 12 credit hours or more each semester. Eligibility for renewal of the Palmetto Fellows Scholarship is based on guidelines set forth by CHE.

Trustee Scholarship
Incoming students who meet the requirements for this scholarship are eligible for up to $18,000 per year (resident) or $9,000 per year (commuter).
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- 3.8 High School GPA and 1300 SAT (critical reading and math portions) or 28 ACT or 86 CLT
- A completed application must be submitted by the deadline indicated on the University website to be considered
- Attend the NGU Scholars Weekend
Renewal Requirements:
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative NGU GPA
Recipients of the Trustee Scholarship may be eligible to receive additional earned institutional aid (i.e., Athletic, Fine Arts, and Departmental aid). The Office of Financial Aid will determine stackable institutional aid. The scholarship is renewable for up to 8 consecutive semesters of full-time enrollment. Full-time enrollment is defined as 12 credit hours or more each semester.

Founder’s Scholarship
Incoming students who meet the requirements for this scholarship are eligible for up to $10,000 per year (resident) or $7,000 per year (commuter).
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- 3.5 Final High School GPA and 1250 SAT (critical reading and math portions) or 27 ACT or or 84 CLT or 4.7 Final High School GPA
Renewal Requirements:
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative NGU GPA
President’s Scholarship
Incoming students who meet the requirements for this scholarship are eligible for up to $8,000 per year (resident) or $6,000 per year (commuter).
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- 3.5 Final High School GPA and 1100 SAT (critical reading and math portions) or 24 ACT or 74 CLT or 3.75 - 4.69 Final High School GPA
Renewal Requirements:
- Maintain at least a 3.0 cumulative NGU GPA
Dean’s Scholarship
Incoming students who meet the requirements for this scholarship are eligible for up to $6,000 per year (resident) or $4,000 per year (commuter).
Initial Eligibility Requirements:
- 3.0 - 3.74 Final High School GPA
Renewal Requirements:
- Maintain at least a 2.75 cumulative NGU GPA
Transfer Scholarship
Transfer scholarships are awarded annually to applicants who transfer from an accredited college and are based on their cumulative GPA.
