Act II Scholarship
Act II is a Christian theatre troupe, which seeks to share the gospel through drama. Membership is by audition and interview. Scholarship amounts vary. Please visit the NGU website for more information and to apply. The application deadline is March 1st.
Acteen/Challenger’s Scholarship
NGU awards scholarships of $500 per semester to admitted freshmen who have either earned the Queen Regent level of achievement (in Acteen Studiact) or Challenger’s Missions Service Award. The student’s Acteen/Challenger leader at their church must obtain a letter verifying the student has completed the program from the State Acteen/Challenger Director at:

Awana Scholarship
This $500 scholarship is awarded to students who earn the Meritorious Trophy or the Citation Award. The scholarship is renewable each year as long as the student maintains a 2.5 GPA. The student must provide a letter from Awana Director stating you have completed the program.
NGU Campus Band Scholarship
The NGU Campus Band is a ministry of Campus Ministries. The band includes vocalists, acoustic and electric guitars, keyboard, drums, bass, and an audio technician. The team is selected through an application process that includes an interview and audition. Interested students should visit the NGU website to apply. Scholarship amounts vary. The application deadline is January 31st.
Children of Southern Baptist Employees Scholarship
This scholarship is offered to dependent students who are children of full-time employees of a Southern Baptist church, institution, or agency. This scholarship is awarded at $500.
Christian Ministry Scholarship
The Christian Ministry Scholarship Fund provides scholarship assistance to worthy undergraduate students who have been called by God and are preparing for full-time Christian vocational ministry at North Greenville University. Applications may be completed online - the application deadline is January 15th.
Jessica Sachs Memorial Scholarship
This scholarship will be given in memory of Miss Jessica Sachs to any student who is a member of any Baptist church affiliated with the New England Baptist Convention. Miss Sachs was a passenger on the first plane that crashed into the World Trade Center on Sept. 11, 2001. The $3,000 scholarship will be for four years while the student is enrolled at NGU and given in lieu of the Out of State Residential Grant. The student must maintain a 2.5 GPA in order to renew the scholarship each year. The student must submit a letter on church letterhead (from the church Pastor or Secretary) verifying regular church attendance and affiliation with the New England Baptist Convention to the Financial Aid Office.
Joyful Sound Scholarship
Joyful Sound is an ensemble of the Baptist Collegiate Ministry whose purpose is to make a difference for Christ by exalting the Savior through worship, evangelizing the lost, and equipping and encouraging believers in their faith. Members are selected through an application, interview, and audition process with emphasis on their Christian testimony as well as musical ability. Interested students should visit the NGU website to apply. The application deadline is January 31.
South Carolina Baptist Scholarship
Members of churches affiliated with the South Carolina Southern Baptist Convention are eligible for this $500 renewable scholarship.
Southern Baptist Missionary Children Scholarship
NGU will provide scholarship assistance to dependent children of appointed, full-time missionaries with the International Mission Board (IMB) of the Southern Baptist Convention. Qualifying missionaries must be serving on the field full-time. A letter from IMB certifying the parent’s missionary status is required for consideration.
Eligible students will receive up to the following amounts in NGU scholarship assistance based on residential status. These amounts will be awarded in combination of any merit aid eligibility and the SBMC Scholarship. The SBMC scholarship amount is considered all-inclusive, which includes any other NGU entitlements or grants a student may otherwise qualify for. Students may receive earned scholarships above the amounts indicated. Earned scholarships include fine arts, athletics, and departmental scholarships.
- Residential Students: up to $17,500
- Commuting Students: up to $15,500
The scholarship is renewable annually, provided the student maintains standard satisfactory academic progress (as determined by the financial aid office) and the parent remains a full-time missionary with IMB.
T. Walter Brashier and Family Scholarship
For new incoming students, this scholarship is offered to students who have a parent that is a pastor or missionary serving full-time or bi-vocationally at an Evangelical church or organization. The scholarship is awarded at $500 per semester and is renewable. A recipient of this scholarship will not be considered for the Southern Baptist Employee’s Children Scholarship or the Southern Baptist Missionary Children Scholarship. Preference is given to students from the Upstate of South Carolina. A scholarship form is required. Please contact the Financial Aid Office for more information.
