EDU-6301 Principles of Coaching
In this course students will deepen their understanding of the major theories and research that define the principles of coaching in literacy. The South Carolina Reading Coach Standards will serve as the foundation for the course. Standards 1-6 will be addressed. Teachers will gain an understanding of the theoretical and evidence-based principles that define and describe literacy coaching. They will also learn the importance of professional learning and leadership as a career-long effort and responsibility, and they will be given opportunities to demonstrate these skills.
