Academic Accommodation
The University suggests that individuals requesting academic accommodations contact the Office of Student Accessibility & ADA Services as early as possible to create an individualized student Access Plan. New and returning students requesting accommodation should complete the Request for Accommodations Form.
Additional information regarding academic accommodation can be found by emailing:

The University does not have special programs for students with learning disabilities, but an effort is made to provide certain accommodations to allow students to perform to the best of their ability according to the Access Plan that is individualized for each student registered with the Office of Student Accessibility.
Any student having a diagnosed disability affecting academic performance should contact the Student Accessibility Office at (864) 977-2022 or student.accessibility@ngu.edu.
To receive accommodation, a student must provide the following to the Office of Student Accessibility:
1. A current medical evaluation of the physical, mental, or emotional disability (completed within a maximum of three – five years of the request) from a licensed physician or psychiatrist; or
2. A current evaluation of a specific learning disability (completed within a maximum of 3 - 5 years of request) from a licensed psychologist or certified school psychologist, and
3. Participate in an in-take meeting with the coordinator of the Office of Student Accessibility, Dr. Brad Gregory.
The evaluation must identify a specific disability and contain specific recommendations for assisting the student. One accommodations are approved, the student must renew the accommodations for each subsequent semester he or she wishes to use the accommodations.
