Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting

Overview

Accounting is known as the language of business. It is the practice of tracking an entity’s financial data and interpreting it into valuable insights. The accounting curriculum at North Greenville University provides students with foundational principles and in-depth knowledge of accounting practices from a biblical worldview perspective. Students learn how to gather, record, analyze, interpret, and communicate financial information about an organization’s performance and financial position. Students study topics such as financial statement preparation and analysis, risk assessment and control, management decision making, tax preparation and planning, auditing, and fraud detection and prevention. Students will have the opportunity to apply their education and gain practical real-world experience by completing an internship in an accounting field.

The Bachelor of Business Administration in Accounting prepares students for a variety of careers including Certified Public Accountant (CPA), auditor, tax accountant/advisor, corporate accountant, financial planner, consultant, government investigator, and business owner.
