Overview
Marketing is the ongoing promotion of a product, service, or brand to compel a target audience to take action. The Bachelor of Business Administration in Marketing prepares students for diverse career opportunities in the marketing industry such as advertising account manager, brand manager, market research analyst, marketing manager, sales manager, and social media manager.
The Marketing curriculum provides students with the latest marketing theories, best practices, and how to apply them to real-world situations. Students receive an in-depth understanding of consumer behavior, market research, branding, and communication strategies. Students work collaboratively in diverse groups to analyze case studies and develop innovative solutions for successfully marketing products and services in an ever changing social and technology-driven environment. As a result, students strengthen their analytical, communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills. Students will have the opportunity to apply their education and gain practical real-world experience by completing an internship in a marketing field.
Degree Requirements
All students pursuing majors and/or minors offered by the College of Business and Entrepreneurship must earn a grade of C or better in College of Business and Entrepreneurship courses numbered 2000 and higher. In addition to degree requirements listed below, students must also satisfy the Chapel (CHPL) and Performing Arts and Lecture Series (PALS) requirements.
